The Team
As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate on delivering software products within Global Business Payments Technology, supporting Payment Modernization initiatives in the Wire Payment space.
Is this role right for you?
- Facilitate collaborative solution discovery sessions using lightweight techniques such as Story Mapping.
- Decompose solutions into small, independently buildable and validated stories.
- Work closely with architects and engineers to specify, engineer, and validate stories.
- Facilitate sessions with teams to detail acceptance criteria using practices like specification by example.
- Lead root cause analysis of defects and promote continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners to review and accept stories and features.
- Define value and guide prioritization with team and business representatives.
- Track projects through all phases of the lifecycle.
- Coordinate with various teams for end-to-end project delivery.
- Ensure milestones are met and approval gates are completed.
- Maintain project documentation, status updates, and risk trackers.
- Prepare schedules, roadmaps, and capacity plans.
- Support app releases and rollout activities.
- Keep stakeholders informed of project status and issues.
- Set expectations and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Articulate complex problems and solutions clearly, tailored to stakeholder expertise.
- Work with senior engineering managers to address project delivery risks.
- Engage stakeholders such as legal, risk, and audit as needed.
- Contribute to team productivity and morale, supporting team members in challenging situations.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- Post-secondary education in a technology-related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong attention to detail across documents, requirements, and conversations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive solutions within a team.
- Technical understanding of cloud computing, REST APIs, and systems integration.
- Knowledge of ISO20022 standard.
- Experience in banking, especially payments, with familiarity in Swift/Fedwire.
- Customer-oriented mindset with rapid learning ability.
- Experience with agile project delivery; Scrum Master certification is a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Background in software development and automated testing practices.
- Self-motivated and quality-driven.
- Comfortable navigating complex, ambiguous situations and managing multiple initiatives.
