Business Analyst (BI & Analytics)

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Business Analyst specializing in BI & Analytics tooling to place at our client, a Big Five Bank.

Terms: 12 month contract

Location: Hybrid, downtown Toronto, 1-2 days a week in the office

Projects: Exfiltration, Data Migration

Responsibilities:

• Leverage expertise in BI and Analytics tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Data Modeling) to support data-driven decision making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business functions to align technology solutions with strategic goals.
• Gather and translate business requirements into actionable plans for programmers and developers.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
• Bridge the gap between business and IT teams to ensure user needs are met.
• Manage multiple projects as part of a collaborative team.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience as a Technical/Functional Hybrid Business Analyst.
• Proficiency in SAS, Tableau, Power BI, and SQL.
• Experience with data analysis, metrics, and reporting.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Data Mesh.
• Proficiency in Alteryx, Databricks, and ETL tools.
• Banking industry experience.
• Understanding of change management and its impacts.
