Job summary

Genpact is hiring a Tech Lead - Application Development N to drive middleware and cloud-ready application development in a fast-moving AI-enabled environment. You will architect, implement, and operate scalable solutions across Linux/Unix, containers, and cloud platforms.

You will mentor teams, implement CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with enterprise clients to deliver value at scale. A strong background in Python, automation, and security is essential for success in this hybrid Canadian role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, CS, IT).
• Advanced software engineering degree preferred (Masters).
• Strong foundation in distributed systems and cloud technologies.
• Experience with automation, CI/CD, and modern infra tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead middleware and application development efforts.
• Hands-on scripting and automation to deploy scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Flux) and config management (Ansible, Helm).
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and container ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ensure security hardening and compliant hosting of web-based apps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end services.

Responsbilties

• Strong infrastructure knowledge in Linux / Unix, Storage and Networking
• Hands-on experience with load balancers, web servers (Apache / Nginx), application servers (Tomcat) to include application integration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Expert level scripting skills using Python (mandatory) and Shell
• Familiar with IT Automation & Config Management tools (Ansible / Helm)
• Experience with source control and continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines (Jenkins, Artifactory, Flux)
• Familiar with security hardening concepts for hosting applications or middleware, including transport encryption, modern single sign-on authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Basic operational knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), Docker/Podman containers, Kubernetes / OpenShift
• Prior experience managing large web-based n-tier applications in secure environments on cloud
• Hands-on experience with graph databases (GraphDB) and knowledge of SPARQL query language.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Airflow
• Exposure and experience in open-source Observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and Loki)
• Identity management protocols like OIDC / OAuth, SAML, LDAP integration
• Exposure to Big Data platforms like Hadoop / ELK Stack
• Capacity planning and performance tuning of applications and middleware platforms
• A system architecture / developer work experience
• Hands-on application / middleware specialist.
