Genpact is seeking a Sr. Java Developer to join a Strategic Client Reporting team in Canada. The role focuses on building robust, scalable server-side Java applications using Java/J2EE with Angular experience and modern frameworks.

Responsibilities include hands-on development, testing, and collaborating with IT partners to ensure delivery in an Agile setup. Hybrid work in Canada is supported, with exposure to financial services domain.

Qualificações

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 3- to 5-year track record in Java development is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate and web services.

Responsibilities

• Work as a Java developer in a Strategic Client Reporting team. Candidate would be responsible to provide stable technical solutions which are robust and scalable as per business needs.
• Provide hands‑on code development and testing based on the project delivery needs.
• Ensure that system architecture and integration design standards are in alignment with broader platform strategies and business goals.
• Work closely with Squad/Team and other IT partners on day-to-day basis to ensure smooth delivery of projects in Agile Model.
• Acquire a robust understanding of financial products, services, processes, and organizational structure in order to find optimal solutions.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, compliance concerns, risk control processes, and regulatory landscape
• Mentor other software developers
• Work experience primarily with building enterprise server-side applications using Java/J2EE Technologies
• Must have Angular experience.
• Excellent Core Java, Spring and Hibernate programming skills
• Hands on knowledge of working on Multithreaded application (Must-have)
• Hands-on experience Java/J2EE, Spring, ORM / Hibernate, Web services - RESTful, Webserver (Apache Tomcat preferred)
• Hands-on with a database (preferably Sybase/DB2)
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Exposure to Unit testing frameworks
• Knowledge of Spring Boot
• Experience with JProfiler/Jprobe (any profiling tool)
• Unix or Linux development
• Strong desire to understand and learn domain
• Hands‑on Knowledge of JavaScript and JS frameworks like Angular/React.
• Exposure to database modelling and performance tuning.
• Source control (preferably Git) and continuous Integration tools
• Experience in working using Agile methodology
• Exposure to financial industry
