Title: Team Leader Warehouse & Packaging Operations

Basic Function

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, is seeking a full-time Team Leader for our Warehouse and Packaging Operations. Reporting to the Director of GSC Manufacturing Operations, the Team Leader, Packaging & Warehouse Operations, is a key member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team. The role involves applying best practices in Packaging and Warehousing to meet Global Supply Chain performance goals in safety, quality, service, and cost. Responsibilities include developing the Manufacturing Business Plan, Capital Budget, and Key Performance Measures. The Team Leader will supervise Packaging and Warehouse Operations in Mississauga.

Job Duties
  • Ensure all Packaging and Warehouse operations are conducted safely
  • Promote a safety culture emphasizing hazard identification and behavior-based safety programs
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Company Safety procedures, within the Collective Agreement
  • Lead, set strategic direction, and prioritize for packaging and warehouse teams, including full-time staff and hourly employees in Edmonton & Mississauga
  • Manage proprietary warehouse operations in Mississauga (National Warehouse)
  • Exhibit strong Non-Authoritative Leadership (NAL) skills, fostering teamwork and empowerment
  • Align team efforts with HFC’s Core Values
  • Monitor expenses and develop continuous improvement initiatives for equipment and processes
  • Manage relationships, costs, dispatching, and operational performance of third-party carriers and rail services across Western Canada
  • Oversee dispatching and performance of third-party package carriers out of Mississauga
  • Improve cost-effectiveness of PCLI’s packaging and warehouse operations
  • Ensure compliance with management systems including ISO 9001, 14001, and IATF 16949
  • Participate in the Joint Health and Safety team

Other duties as assigned by supervisor at their discretion.

Experience
  • Over 10 years of related work experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role (preferably in a unionized environment)
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, and distribution
  • Leadership experience in an operational setting
  • Post-secondary education in Technical, Business, or Logistics fields preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered

Work Conditions
  • Primarily office work with regular exposure to packaging, blending, and warehouse facilities
  • Periods of high pressure during operational challenges and incident responses
  • Up to 20% North American travel to Global Supply Chain facilities
