This role ensures the sustained technical mastery and leadership in manufacturing by managing a key production line or organizational segment. You will be responsible for achieving key business results, developing team members, and applying strategic thinking to ensure long-term success.

How you will contribute

In your first managerial role, you will ensure safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets are met by breaking down overall goals into team and individual objectives. You will also manage budgets, costs, governance, compliance, loss elimination, and workforce planning, including recruitment, retention, development, and succession planning. Your leadership is vital for delivering high-quality products to our customers.

What you will bring

A desire to advance your career with experience and knowledge in:

  • Autonomous maintenance (AM) Step 4 and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systems
  • Maintaining equipment independently, including execution of AM & PM standards
  • Total productive maintenance and Six Sigma, including qualification of AM steps 5-6 and PM step 3
  • Leading production teams
  • Handling interpersonal challenges tactfully
  • Influencing in union environments
  • Effective verbal and written communication with attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead production teams to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring schedule and policy adherence.
  • Resolve conflicts and promote collaboration.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Use technical skills to troubleshoot and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor KPIs, utilizing tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Train and develop team members.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of leadership in production, preferably in consumer goods.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Strong background in continuous improvement and autonomous maintenance.
  • Proven conflict management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel; Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Available for continental shifts (day or night).
