Job summary

PENN. Penningtons is seeking a Team Lead to partner with management to keep store operations running smoothly and inspire the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences. You will lead on the sales floor, coach staff, and ensure a vibrant, organized, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Support store performance by contributing to the achievement of sales goals and ensuring alignment with KPIs.
• Assist with day-to-day operations, including policy adherence, loss prevention, opening/closing, cash management, reporting, and scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising and visual presentation to create a welcoming environment.
• Coach and develop the team through ongoing training and feedback to strengthen skills and performance.
• Promote effective communication with the Store Manager to ensure alignment and timely execution of priorities.
• Collaborate with the management team to ensure aligned priorities and swift execution of action plans.
• Model a customer-first mindset by leading on the sales floor and resolving customer concerns.

Job Description

As a Team Lead, you will collaborate with the management team to keep operations running smoothly and inspire the team to deliver an outstanding customer experience. With your leadership, sense of style, and hands-on approach, you will help create a vibrant, organized, and customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support store performanceby contributing to the achievement of sales goals and ensuring alignment with company objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist with day-to-day operations, including compliance with policies and procedures, loss prevention, opening and closing routines, cash management, report generation, and scheduling support.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising and visual presentationto ensure a clean, consistent, and welcoming environment that enhances the customer experience.
• Coach and develop the teamthrough ongoing training and constructive feedback to strengthen skills, confidence, and overall performance.
• Promote effective communicationwith the Store Manager to ensure alignment, smooth operations, and timely execution of priorities.
• Collaborate closely with the management teamto ensure aligned priorities, effective communication, and the swift execution of action plans.
• Model a customer-first mindsetby leading on the sales floor, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring every interaction reflects our service standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or customer-focused environment.

• Knowledge of store operations, including scheduling, cash management, merchandising, and inventory flow.
• Passion for fashion: good sense of style and solid knowledge of fashion trends.
• Proficient in POS, ERP, ATS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexible availability; able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs (18 kg), and use a step ladder reaching up to 3 m (10 feet).
• High school diploma required.

Hiring rateof $1.80 above minimum wage (rate may be greater based on relevant experience)
