The Opportunity:

At WSP, we're growing and developing our expertise as a trusted advisor and technical leader in engineering design across various industries. We are adding two Team Leads to our Field Services Group, one in Richmond Hill and one in Whitby, Ontario.

As a part of the Ontario Field Services Team, you'll drive our efforts to enhance our service offerings through collaboration with a team of engineering specialists, professionals, and technical staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Forecast staffing needs based on project backlog and upcoming pursuits.
  • Manage resource allocation to meet workload and financial targets.
  • Develop and maintain revenue validation systems.
  • Mentor staff and foster professional development.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to share resources and ensure safety and quality standards.
  • Uphold safety and ethical standards, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct.
  • Create business plans aligned with regional and global strategies.
  • Lead innovative approaches to complex work situations.
  • Conduct site visits and safety inspections quarterly.
  • Coordinate with Radiation Safety Officers to ensure compliance with CNSC licensing.
  • Translate technical and business needs into actionable plans and goals.
  • Ensure health and safety policies are followed at all sites.
Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in materials or geotechnical testing and inspection.
  • Leadership experience and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of civil construction practices and testing standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerBI.
  • Experience managing Profit & Loss (P&L).
