Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in commercial lines brokerage, strong renewal/marketing experience, and proficiency with Applied Epic. Leadership experience is an asset in our client‑focused, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 General Insurance License is required.
• 5+ years of commercial lines brokerage experience.
• Proven knowledge of commercial property and liability.
• Experience managing a commercial book independently.
• Renewals, endorsements, and marketing experience.
• Applied Epic proficiency is preferred.
• CAIB or CIP is an asset; leadership experience is also an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day team guidance and coaching.
• Support workload and workflow management for the team.
• Assist with complex commercial files and client situations.
• Handle coverage and renewal escalations.
• Review files and provide actionable feedback.
• Coach and develop team members; assist with onboarding and training.
• Monitor service standards and share market knowledge.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Commercial Insurance Team Lead to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial insurance professional who is ready to take on more leadership responsibility while staying connected to the technical work they know and enjoy.

You do not need to have held a formal leadership title. What matters most is strong commercial lines experience, sound judgment, and a track record of being someone colleagues trust for guidance. You will support a team of commercial insurance professionals, help work through more complex files and client situations, and provide coaching that helps others grow.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who enjoys both the people side and the technical side of commercial insurance.
