DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Milton, CAN, is seeking a Team Lead for the Warehouse section. The role leads a group of operators and partners with management to ensure efficient daily operations and achievement of targets.

The position requires 2–3 years of leadership experience in warehousing and a relevant supply chain or business degree. Compensation starts at $23.00/hour with eligible benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain management, Logistics or Business Administration.
• 2-3 years of leadership experience in warehousing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which fulfils operational and customer demand and meet set targets.
• Identify systems improvements and make recommendations for change.
• Produce regular reports and statistics as and when required.
• Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency.
• Communicate with staff on a regular basis to ensure awareness of priorities, targets and operational requirements.
• Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager.
• Actively committed to teams' development and growth.
• Have a collaborative approach to working with others.
• Ensure that working area is clean and all equipment stored in its proper place at the end of the shift.
• Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of products and materials is carried out in accordance with proper handling procedures.
• Ensure staff comply to health and safety regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies when required in a timely manner.

SUMMARY

The Team Lead, Operations is responsible for the operation of a section within the Warehouse function. Supporting the Management Team with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, responsible for a group of operators and ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in achieving business targets.
