Job summary

Surrey Schools is seeking a Teacher Teaching On-Call (TTOC) to support diverse classrooms across elementary and secondary levels. The role involves providing temporary instructional coverage as needed, aligned with district priorities and class schedules.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Education (Elementary or Secondary), a valid BC Teaching Certificate, and be registered with TQS. The district emphasizes inclusive, student-centered teaching and ongoing professional growth.

  • Bachelor of Education (Elementary or Secondary) degree.
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB).
  • Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS).
  • In-depth understanding of the BC curriculum.
  • Proven ability to design and implement effective instructional strategies that support the success of all learners in an inclusive, student-centered environment
  • Dedicated to continuous professional development, with a passion for creating and fostering a creative, engaging, and inclusive classroom experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Teacher Teaching On-Call (TTOC)

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Education (Elementary or Secondary) degree,
  • ValidBC TeachingCertificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)
  • Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS)

Required documents and information for application:
  • Resume (Please include most relevant experience first)
  • Cover Letter – Please clearly indicate your teachable subjects
  • Copy of B.C. Teaching Certificate
  • 3 professional references from those in a supervisory capacity, such as current and/or former administrators. If you are currently completing a teacher education program, please include references from those who supervised your final certifying practicum.
Supplemental Information:
  • Evaluations or teaching reports within the last 8 years if available.

Salary range is$59,711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.Surrey Schools Salary Grid
