Aspengrove School, an independent IB Continuum school on Vancouver Island near Nanaimo (Lantzville), seeks a casual Teacher on Call for the 2026-2027 year. Open to applicants with elementary to senior school teaching experience in K-12, including specialist areas such as French, Music, PE, Art, Science and Mathematics.

Essential qualifications include a Bachelor of Education or equivalent and BC qualifications.

Teachers On Call

Aspengrove is an independent, co-educational, International Baccalaureate Continuum school. With approximately 390 students ranging from JK3 up to Grade 12 we strive to provide an exceptional educational experience and a comprehensive co-curricular program.

Aspengrove's campus is situated on 40 acres in Nanaimo (Lantzville) BC. Our campus allows our students to explore their interests in the arts, athletics, academic and outdoor endeavors. Aspengrove teachers create meaningful relationships with their students that often last well beyond their Aspengrove journey. Aspengrove serves families from Ladysmith to Nanaimo to Qualicum and is the only ISABC school in the region.

Reporting to the Senior School and Junior School Principal, the Teacher on Call is a casual position during the 2026-2027 School Year.

We are interested in receiving applications from applicants with elementary, middle and/or senior school teaching experience in any Grades from K-12, either as a classroom teacher or in specialist areas, including French, Music, PE, Art, Science and Mathematics.

Faculty Salaries:

• Based on the School's approved Teacher on Call Salary Scale, currently $43.75/per hour or $350/per day.
