Job description

Delivering public education for twenty First Nations and approximately 1,000 students in the five municipalities of Clinton, Cache Creek, Ashcroft, Lytton and Lillooet, the Gold Trail School district is located in the beautiful south central region of British Columbia. We currently have opportunities for Teachers Teaching on Call.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Qualifications and/or successful teaching experience in the area/grade level posted;
  • Knowledge of the BC curriculum and competencies;
  • Strong assessment practices, including assessment as and for learning;
  • Successful experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into curriculum, or familiarity with and understanding of local Indigenous culture and commitment to integrate it into the curriculum;
  • The ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies to accommodate the learning needs of all students;
  • Successful experience integrating experiential and/or inquiry learning opportunities into the curriculum;
  • A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills;
  • A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting;
  • A commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology into the curriculum;
  • The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the greater community.
  • A current, valid driver's license and ability and willingness to travel as required.
Salary and Benefits

Full‑time teaching positions within Gold Trail School District offer a salary range of $60,076 to $109,520 with placement in accordance with the provisions in the Collective Agreement. The district offers competitive benefits and pension. TTOCs are paid to a maximum of Category 5 Step 8.
