Job summary

First Nation School Board - Yukon is seeking a Teacher on Call for the St. Elias Community School in Dakwäkäda / Haines Junction to support learners and families within a community-based educational setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Yukon First Nation communities, Elders, and families, applying First Nation wisdom in daily classroom activities and programming.

Home to the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations people, St. Elias Community School is one of 11 Yukon schools that have joined the newly established First Nation School Board (FNSB) in the Yukon. Southern Tutchone is the traditional language of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations people.

Important application requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma, or equivalent experience
• Experience working with school aged students is preferred
