Job summary

Wolfcreek is seeking a full-time probationary high school teacher to support literacy and numeracy intervention within a complexity team. You will work with administration, teachers, EAs, and support staff to assist grades 7–12 students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities include literacy assessments, targeted intervention, numeracy support, FLEX study hall supervision, and collaboration with teachers to identify and address student needs in a team-oriented learning environment.

Job description

Assignment:
  • Full-time 1.0 FTE probationary teaching position
  • Instruction in a complexity team, working with administration, teachers, educational assistants, and support staff to assist students with a range of learning needs in grades 7-12
  • This position will focus on literacy and numeracy intervention while supporting Knowledge and Employability (K & E) programming
  • Duties will commence August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year
Duties to include:
  • Supporting students in K & E programming
  • Completing literacy assessments and providing targeted intervention
  • Providing foundational numeracy support to individuals and students in small groups
  • Running a study hall during FLEX to support coursework, organization, and assignment completion
  • Working with teachers to identify students requiring additional support
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting supports as needed
    Building positive relationships and responding to changing student needs
Qualifications:
  • Experience with literacy and numeracy intervention
  • Experience in K & E programming
  • Experience and ability to differentiate instruction for a variety of student needs
  • Experience supporting students who have struggled academically would be considered an asset
