Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking a Manager, Tax to join the Personal Tax Centre of Excellence within the Personal Debt Solutions team anywhere in Canada. This role leads the Tax Center of Excellence and ensures delivery of high-quality, compliant personal tax services while hands-on contributing to tax work and client deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching staff to support development and drive performance.
• Minimum 5 years of tax preparation experience, including self-employed tax returns and CRA processes.
• Familiarity with Bankruptcy tax returns is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a hands-on role in day-to-day tax operations while leading the team.
• Coordinate workload across teams and monitor progress for timely delivery.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
• Resolve complex client and CRA concerns in a professional, timely manner.
• Communicate expectations and objectives to team members clearly.
• Coach and mentor team members for professional growth and subject matter expertise.
