This leadership role oversees the Tax Center of Excellence, ensuring high-quality, compliant personal tax services while contributing to tax work, file management, and client deliverables.

You will lead workload distribution, guide team performance, and partner with Team Leaders to uphold standards.

• 5+ years of tax preparation experience, including self-employed tax returns and CRA processes.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Manager, Tax to join our Personal Tax Centre of Excellence within the Personal Debt Solutions team anywhere in Canada. This role is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the Tax Center of Excellence and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, compliant, and client-focused personal tax services. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, organizational capability, and deep knowledge of personal tax to guide team performance. The role also requires a hands-on approach, contributing directly to tax work, file management, and client deliverables alongside leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a hands-on role in day-to-day tax operations, including completing tax work, managing files, and supporting client deliverables while leading the team.
• Coordinate and distribute workload across the teams, monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Partner with Team Leaders to ensure compliance organizational standards, and industry best practices.
• Provide guidance and support in resolving complex client and CRA concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Clearly communicate performance expectations, priorities, and operational objectives to team members.
• Monitor team productivity and performance to ensure established service levels, quality standards, and individual performance metrics are consistently achieved.
• Identify performance gaps and collaborate with Team Leaders to develop and implement effective resolution and improvement plans.
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with quality assurance standards.
• Coach, mentor, and support team members in their professional growth, skill development, and subject matter expertise.

Your Experience And Education

• Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching staff, with the ability to support development and drive individual and team performance.
• Minimum 5 years of tax preparation experience, including self employed tax returns and CRA's processes relating to T1's, tax refunds, tax offsets, GST/HST returns. Knowledge of bankruptcy specific tax returns (pre, post, in-bankruptcy, provisional) is an asset
• Working knowledge of iFirm is an asset.
• Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable with the ability to accommodate varying work schedules, including occasional evening hours as required.
• Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, exceptional client service, and producing high-quality, detail-oriented work.

The compensation range for this position is $70,000-$118,000 annually.
