Job summary

Univar Solutions Canada LTD in Downsview, ON is seeking a Tank Farm Operator to load/unload trucks, mix and repackage products, and maintain tank farm inventory. The role requires operating a propane counterbalance forklift and ensuring safe handling of chemicals.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 3 years of related warehouse experience, with the ability to work in a physical environment and follow procedures to meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high-school diploma is required.
• Three (3) years’ related warehouse experience.
• Must have the ability to operate a propane counterbalance forklift according to company procedures.
• Must have the ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment

Responsibilities

• Mixing and repackaging product.
• Fills pails, drums and totes.
• Loads and unloads tank trucks/railcars.
• Blends solvents and alcohols.
• Prepares containers for filling.
• Monitors and maintains tankfarm inventory levels.
• Container preparation.
• Other duties that may be assigned by Supervisor.
• Filling product orders and preparing special blends.
• Cleaning and maintaining warehouse and equipment.
• Assists with shipping and receiving.
• Liquid transfer of bulk product.
• Inventory movement or duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
