Job summary

Superior Propane Inc. is seeking a Plant Labourer in Canada to support cylinder filling, pallet loading for deliveries, and yard maintenance. The role includes inventory control, shipping coordination, and lightweight admin duties in a safety-focused environment.

The candidate should have a minimum of one year experience, high school education, and reliable transportation. TDG/WHMIS training is an asset, as is PGAC 100-1 dispensing knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Fill propane cylinders and load onto pallets for delivery.

  • Coordinate shipping/receiving and unload/load trucks as needed.
  • Perform general administrative paperwork as needed.
  • Adhere to safety standards and conduct pre/post vehicle inspections and site inspections.

Reporting directly to the Market Manager, Plant Labourer is a multi-faceted role that will respond to the changing needs of the territory and is responsible for filling cylinders and loading on to pallets for delivery to our customers, maintaining the territories yard, facility, assets and inventory (Plant); and coordinating and completing general administrative duties.

What you’ll do
  • Fill propane cylinders, load on to pallets for delivery to our customers.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly yard ensuring that tanks and inventory are organized. Perform regular maintenance to the facility to minimize repairs and associated expenses ensuring it is maintained, cleaned and presents a professional image and is a safe workplace.
  • Manage and control inventory, ensuring assets are accurately logged. Coordinate shipping and receiving and unload and load trucks as needed.
  • Manage and coordinate any administrative paperwork and documentation as needed.
  • Conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities and operations ensuring compliance with the regulatory bodies and relevant regulations. This includes conducting and, if applicable documenting, pre and post vehicle inspections on forklifts site inspections and visual tank inspections.
  • Preparing of tanks.
  • Monthly inspections of the plant- general safety inspection- complete form and send it off.

  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis.
