Job summary

Univar Solutions is hiring an Operator Formulator in Abbotsford, BC. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you will perform warehouse duties in a unionized environment and support a fast-paced, team-oriented facility.

Duties include blending and transferring bulk chemicals, loading/offloading trucks and rail, and inventory duties. Requirements include a high school education, 1 year in a similar role, forklift experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and strong safety and

Responsibilities

• Blend and transfer bulk chemicals.

• Place products on skids and wrap for storage/transport.
• Load goods onto/off trucks.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and product put-away.
• Light cleaning/maintenance of warehouse and tank farm.
• Perform other duties as required.

Operator Formulator

Location: Abbotsford, BC

About The Position

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Operator Formulator is a key member of our operations team and performs all warehouse duties within a unionized environment as required. If you are looking for a challenging role in a team-oriented environment and a fast-paced facility, this is the job for you!

What you’ll do:

• Blend and transfer bulk chemicals


• Load/offload tanker trucks and rail


• Place products on skids and wrapping them for storage and transport


• Load goods onto and off trucks


• Assist with inventory cycle counts and putting away products


• Light cleaning/maintenance of the warehouse and tank farm


• Other duties as required

What you’ll need:

• Minimum of high school education


• One (1) year of experience working in a similar role


• Previous experience operating a forklift


• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis


• High attention to detail and accuracy


• Strong focus on safety, particularly while operating heavy machinery


• The ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly
