Job description

SiteTalent is a specialized talent partner for the industrial sector. We recruit, retain, develop and grow exceptional talent in the construction, manufacturing, and resource sectors.

We have an opening for a Talent Specialist to join our Abbotsford team. This role drives high-volume sourcing, outreach, and early-stage candidate engagement across active client searches, from first contact through screening and interview coordination, and delivers well-prepared candidate submissions that keep every search moving forward.

So what kind of person fits the role? Someone who’s energized by a full day of conversations and just as disciplined about the follow-through behind them. A person who can work quickly and at volume but never treats a candidate like a number, giving everyone a professional, positive experience regardless of outcome. Someone who’s motivated by clear targets and sees every search as a chance to sharpen their instincts for finding the right fit.

Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing and Outreach
  • Conduct proactive, high-volume outreach across LinkedIn, job boards, and other sourcing channels to maintain an active, qualified pipeline
  • Identify and engage candidates for active and anticipated searches through direct messaging, InMail, email, and referral follow-up
  • Track outreach activity and candidate status in our applicant tracking system to keep pipelines accurate and visible
  • Build lasting relationships with candidates across the construction, manufacturing, and resource sectors
Screening and Interview Coordination
  • Conduct candidate screening interviews at high weekly volume to assess fit against role requirements
  • Prepare candidates for next-stage interviews with a clear briefing on role details, client culture, and process expectations
  • Coordinate interview logistics between candidates and clients, including scheduling, reminders, and follow-up
  • Document interview notes and candidate assessments clearly and consistently
Candidate Submissions
  • Prepare and submit polished candidate profiles to clients on a consistent weekly cadence
  • Ensure every submission aligns with the confirmed role brief and meets the client’s quality expectations
  • Incorporate client and leadership feedback to continually improve submission quality
Business Development Support
  • Conduct proactive outreach to potential client contacts to support the business development pipeline
  • Identify new client leads and hiring signals from market activity and candidate conversations
  • Assist with the preparation of client-facing materials alongside the sales team
Candidate and Client Experience
  • Deliver a responsive, professional, and positive experience for every candidate, regardless of placement outcome
  • Support the collection of client feedback following submissions and placements
  • Invite satisfied candidates and clients to share reviews of their experience
Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in recruitment, staffing, talent acquisition, or a similar high-volume, people-facing role such as inside sales
  • Hands-on experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn and job boards
  • Confidence conducting phone and video screens and assessing candidates against a role brief
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a style that is both professional and personable
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple searches and a full calendar without losing track of details
  • Experience working in an applicant tracking system or CRM; experience with Loxo is an asset
  • Familiarity with construction, manufacturing, or resource sector roles is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in human resources, business, or a related field is an asset
