This Opportunity
Our Toronto location is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this newly created position, this individual will play a key role in shaping our talent acquisition function. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of recruitment and optimizing the recruitment function. This individual will also contribute to broader talent initiatives across the full recruitment life cycle from sourcing talent to onboarding.

What You’ll Do- Independently manage the recruitment process for assigned client groups across all job levels. This includes building and maintaining pipelines of passive talent, screening, presenting candidates, coordinating interviews and negotiating offers.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, define job requirements, create accurate job descriptions for new positions and generate interview questions.
- Develop engaging job postings to attract high-quality candidates and promote the firm as an employer of choice.
- Maintain job description library updating and refining job descriptions to reflect changes in responsibilities and requirements.
- Champion the ongoing enhancement of talent acquisition processes, programs, policies, tools and systems. Identify areas for improvement from sourcing to onboarding. Develop and execute project plans to implement solutions to optimize the recruitment experience.
- Create and maintain training materials including training decks and playbooks to keep recruiting running smoothly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external recruitment agencies. Evaluate vendor effectiveness, and maintain performance metrics to ensure quality hires.
- Act as primary point of contact for ATS, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators to measure the success of recruitment efforts and providing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- Stay abreast of trends and best practices to ensure our strategies remain innovative.
- Lead the intern recruitment program from initiation to completion each quarter, ensuring S+A is positioned to attracted top talent.
- Cultivate and develop strong partnerships with colleges and universities to identify any new academic streams that can enhance candidate pool.
- Partner with the marketing and communications department to maintain and develop marketing materials to support leaders across the organization with intern recruitment efforts.
- Develop comprehensive plans for career fairs with the support of HR coordinators to promote the firm as an employer of choice.
- Manage intern program for assigned client group including interview schedules, ensuring a consistent pipeline of high-quality candidates and timely communications to co-op advisors, candidates and hiring teams.
- Manage and continuously improve the employee referral program, promoting engagement through internal campaigns and tracking program performance.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Who You Are- 5+ plus years of previous experience in a corporate environment with a successful track record of recruiting for technical talent positions from entry to senior levels. CHRP is highly desired.
- Thorough understanding of recruitment best practices, tools as well as applicable policies and employment related legislation.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Proactive with the ability to take initiative and produce high quality work.
- Demonstrated proficiency with applicant tracking systems as well as sourcing tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power Point
- Advanced experience using and ATS.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving skills with a track record of personal accountability.
