  • Company-paid health and dental benefit premiums following successful completion of a three-month probationary period
  • $250 Health Spending Account
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Employee discounts on our products

  • A collaborative and welcoming team environment
What You'll Be Doing

You’ll report directly to the HR Director and work from our Burnaby headquarters, supporting Source locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. You’ll also provide HR support to our partner company, Performance Furnishings, and collaborate with our U.S.-based HR Generalist supporting N9NE Furniture Group.

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Recruitment will be a key focus of your role. You’ll help us find the right people to support our growing business.

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from developing job postings and advertising opportunities through our HRIS to screening candidates, coordinating and conducting interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and identify strong candidates.
  • Conduct compensation research and market analysis to support competitive hiring decisions.
  • Help create a positive, professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
2. Onboarding & Employee Development

Help new employees feel welcomed, prepared, and set up for success.

  • Coordinate the onboarding process, including preparing employment contracts and extensions, managing employee documentation, and working with managers, IT, and Payroll.
  • Conduct new-hire check-ins and identify opportunities to improve the onboarding experience.
  • Support employee development, career progression, and retention initiatives.
  • Assist managers with the annual performance review process.
3. HR Operations & Reporting

Keep our HR processes organized, accurate, and running smoothly.

  • Maintain confidential and accurate employee records within our Humi HRIS.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports covering headcount, turnover, attendance, recruitment, and other key people metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, reporting, and administrative efficiency.
  • Provide general HR administrative support to employees and managers across our locations.
4. Employee & Labour Relations

Be a trusted and approachable resource for employees and managers.

  • Respond to employee questions and concerns, helping foster a respectful and positive workplace.
  • Support managers with employee relations matters, workplace coaching, and the interpretation and application of company policies.
  • Assist with labour relations matters, including grievance support and collective bargaining preparation, as required.
5. HR Compliance, Policies & Training

Help ensure our people practices are consistent, compliant, and effective.

  • Support compliance with applicable employment legislation and HR best practices across our Canadian locations.
  • Assist with the administration, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and track required employee training, policy acknowledgements, and related documentation.
  • Stay informed about evolving employment standards and HR practices.
6. Workplace Health & Safety

Contribute to maintaining safe and supportive workplaces.

  • Assist with workplace injury reporting, WorkSafe documentation, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for workplace health and safety programs across our Canadian locations.
  • Help ensure required health and safety documentation and training records are maintained.
7. Employee Engagement & Culture

Help bring our workplace culture to life through meaningful employee experiences.

  • Participate in our Social Committee and help plan employee events, team-building activities, and engagement initiatives, including budgets, logistics, and communications.
  • Coordinate monthly corporate team lunches.
  • Manage company-wide birthday and work anniversary communications for Source Office Furniture and Performance Furnishings employees.
  • Bring forward ideas that help employees feel connected, recognized, and valued.

As part of a collaborative HR team, you’ll also have opportunities to contribute to other projects and priorities as business needs evolve.
