Job summary

Kal Tire in Vernon, BC, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator for a 12-month full-time fixed-term/student co-op role. Based in Vernon, you will support the full-cycle recruitment process, manage onboarding, and assist with data reporting while preserving confidentiality of sensitive information.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in administrative roles, some HR/recruitment exposure with ATS, and strong MS Office skills. Flexible hours may include evenings or weekends as needed.

• Post-secondary credential in business-related field is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment for the Talent Acquisition Team.
• Coordinate with TA team to meet seasonal hiring needs.
• Source candidates using recruitment tools and digital platforms.
• Screen resumes, conduct background and reference checks.
• Schedule interviews and phone screens with candidates and managers.
• Participate in career fairs and campus recruitment events.
• Respond to online reviews and social media inquiries.
• Maintain Talent Acquisition Sharepoint data.
• Assist HR Analyst with data collection and reporting.

Talent Acquisition Coordinator

12-Months Full-time Fixed Term / Student Co-op

Vernon, BC

Role Description

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for varied administrative, recruitment and onboarding duties to support the Kal Tire Talent Acquisition Team.This position will be exposed to confidential information regularly, and an ability to preserve confidentiality is an essential duty.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide recruitment support for the Talent Acquisition Team to assist throughout the entire full-cycle recruitment process.
• Coordinate with Talent Acquisition Team to meet seasonal hiring demands.
• Source potential candidates using recruitment tools and digital marketing platforms.
• Conduct resume screening, criminal background checks, and reference checks.
• Schedule interviews and phone screens working directly with candidates, the Talent Acquisition Team and hiring managers.
• Participates in career fairs, campus recruitment, and other various networking events.
• Respond to online job review sites and social media.
• Update and ownership of Talent Acquisition Team Sharepoint.
• Support the HR Analyst to liase with the field in order to collect and interprete data.

Work Experience

• A minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative or support capacity. The equivalent education experience and completion of a work study or co-op program will also be considered.
• HR or Recruitment experience with various ATS and job boards considered a strong asset.

Education

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, commerce or management science an asset but not required.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• High attention to detail. TA coordinators create New Hire Packages and handles sensitive data, such as criminal record checks.
• Strong MS Office Skills. Eg., TA coordinators relies heavily on MS Outlook for emails and calendar for invite management, MS Excel for special recruitment project trackers and dashboard.
• Excellent communication skills. TA Coordinators collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition team, take in requirements from and provide updates to hiring managers and business leaders, and converse with candidates and 3rd party vendors.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal direction; excels working within tight deadlines.

Special Requirements

• Required to work occasional evening or weekends, if necessary.
