Hydro One’s Talent Acquisition team is looking for a Consultant to develop meaningful relationships with the business and candidates to attract, hire, and retain the best talent for our diverse and inclusive organization.

General Accountabilities:
  • Create a seamless and positive experience for hiring managers and prospective candidates.
  • Manage the recruitment process from start to finish for unionized and non-unionized positions: job postings, sourcing, interviewing, processing references, and background checks to the offer stage.
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers in all areas of recruitment, including sourcing strategies, policies, procedures, and adherence to collective agreements and legislation.
  • Support and champion Hydro One’s recruitment branding strategy to attract top talent.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential candidates through proactive market analysis, data insights, and relationship management.
  • Participate and lead Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives as required.
  • Coordinate and participate in career fairs, information sessions, networking events, on-campus recruitment, and other off-site events.
  • Stay informed of current trends and innovative recruiting techniques.
Selection Criteria:
  • 4-6 years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced organization.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Interest or experience in HR Analytics and Employer Branding.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and adapt to change.
  • Experience with ATS/HRIS (SuccessFactors), SAP, ServiceNow preferred.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Experience in utility, manufacturing, or similar environments, especially with trades and technical hiring, is an asset.
  • Experience with a new graduate program and building on-campus presence.
  • Results-oriented with analytical thinking and questioning the status quo.
