A leading mining company in Kirkland Lake, Ontario is seeking a Tailings Operator/Labourer to ensure safe and efficient operations. The successful candidate will operate heavy machinery, conduct inspections, and support environmental management practices. A valid G class license is required along with previous experience in a similar role. This position follows a 4/3 work schedule.

Reporting to the Tailings & Water Management Supervisor, you will be part of the Mill Operations Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Work in team/crew setting reporting to a daily supervisor. Work with principles of teamwork, and good communication displaying these daily. Capable of working independently at times;
Perform job duties as assigned, in line with SOPs and health/safety standards at site;
Operate machinery including haul truck, excavator, dozer, generator, pumps, compressors, forklift, loader, grader, excavator, and hand tools;
Complete tailings and water management operational tasks including daily inspections, pipe work set-up/relocation, dewatering activities, welding, and tailings spigotting;
Handle and transport Dangerous Goods materials (chemicals for plant) at times;
Maintain equipment and work area in good working conditions (implement 5S including: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, & Sustain);
Be prepared to assist in all roles that are required and responding appropriately to these needs, including seasonal activity, shovelling snow, spreading sand, and enabling safe access to work areas for others;
Support other departments and divisions from time to time. Perform other duties as assigned.
Capable and previous experience (or licencing) to operate heavy equipment;
Capable of following job directions and completing work in safe manner;
Willing to learn and complete job tasks in various environmental conditions;
Previous experience in heavy civil construction, process plant operations, or mining considered an asset;
Valid and clean G class License (Minimum);
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Schedule: 4/3 (Monday to Thursday) schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
