Job summary

GardaWorld in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Tactical Security Guard for housing assignments. You’ll read environments, anticipate risk, and act to protect people and property while patrolling diverse sites.

This role requires standing and walking shifts, a valid security license and first aid. We offer full-time or part-time options, ongoing GardaWorld Academy training, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Ability to pass Use of Force qualification.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Check identification and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.

As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

Schedules:

Mon-Fri 0000-0800, 0800-1600, 1600-000 (Full Time)

Location: L8P 3C1
