Client: Ministry of Health
Period: 7 Months
Start Date: 2022-09-06
End Date: 2023-03-17
Location: Toronto
Working Hrs.: 7.25 Hrs. / day
Assignment Type: Hybrid - This position is currently listed as "Hybrid" as consultants may be required to work partly in the physical workplace and partly remotely.

Candidate must be based in Ontario and is required to come to office 3 days a week.

Must Haves:

1. 5+ years of experience in system testing;
2. Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics solutions;
3. Excellent knowledge of system testing methodology executing system and user acceptance tests;
4. Examining test databases using SQL;
5. 5+ years of experience with Agile project management and development practices (managing the backlog, preparing and supporting the scrum master, sprint planning, creating user stories);

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience in system testing;
2. Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics solutions;
3. Excellent knowledge of system testing methodology, execute system and user acceptance tests;
4. Ability to understand and analyze business requirements, and systems response documents, to design and execute test plans to ensure the system functions and meets the business requirements;
5. Experience verifying actual results meet expected results;
6. Documenting and monitoring resolution of system variances using an automated problem management system (e.g. Clear Quest, MS Azure DevOps);
7. Ability to write test plans and test cases that are well-structured, easy to maintain, and easily understood by both developers and business analysts and clients;
8. Providing detailed testing plans;
9. Proven and demonstrable troubleshooting and analytical experience;
10. Demonstrated excellent problem solving and decision-making skills;
11. Experience analyzing business requirements documentation including use cases, user stories and other non-functional requirements;
12. Experience analyzing test data requirements and create appropriate test data to support the test strategy;
13. Experience with automated system testing and testing tools;
14. Experience testing data-migration processes;
15. Experience contributing and maintaining defect summaries to aid with prioritization of work and defect tracking;
16. Experience using automated testing scripts and tools (e.g. Rational Functional Tester, Selenium or any equivalent automated testing tool);
17. 5+ years of experience with Agile project management and development practices (managing the backlog, preparing and supporting the scrum master, sprint planning, creating user stories).

Communication skills:

1. Strong verbal and written communications skills;
2. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills;
3. Strong consulting skills to engage with all stakeholders;
4. A demonstrated team player with a track record for meeting deadlines;
5. Demonstrated success in working productively with business clients, developers, and technical specialists such as DBAs;
6. Demonstrated experience reporting status, progress, and key issues/concerns to project managers and leads.

Healthcare Experience:

1. Knowledge and experience with health-related or health insurance-related I&IT projects;
2. Knowledge of enterprise architecture artifacts (or similar), processes and practices, and ability to produce technical documentation that complies with industry standard practices;
3. In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as Project Management Institute (PMI) and standard unified I&IT project management methodologies;
4. Knowledge and understanding of policy and IT project approval processes and requirements;
5. Experience adopting and adhering to unified I&IT project management methodologies, enterprise architecture and gating frameworks, and standard systems development methodologies;
6. Knowledge of Ontario's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and its municipal equivalent the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and their respective regulations.
