The Project:

Reporting to the Line Wide Director, the Systems Manager will lead significant parts of the Line Wide Systems works primarily focused on the fit out the new tunnels and emergency access buildings on Scarborough Subway Extension project.

This position will manage a team of Metrolinx staff, consultants and contractors to deliver the Testing and Commissioning workstream.

You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Leading significant parts of the Line Wide Systems works primarily focused on the fit out the new tunnels, station and emergency access buildings.
  • Driving integration of systems across the project, and coordinate with the Testing and Commissioning teams.
  • Ensuring the Contractor's Systems Works processes are aligned with system assurance, operational readiness, and safety case requirements.
  • Working closely with the Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) to review safety-related test results and certification readiness.
  • Ensuring the Contractor's schedule is properly phased with construction completion and system installation.
  • Managing the Contractors tunnel fit out works.
  • Managing stakeholders such as TTC, City of Toronto and/or Metrolinx AMM (Asset Management and Maintenance).
You'll Need To Have:
  • Experience in delivering Systems large scale rapid transit projects including ideally tunnel fit out experience.
  • Project management experience on large scale rapid transit projects.
  • Experience working with a large team of technical professionals and large-scale contractors.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Systems works related to rapid transit projects.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing the competing objectives of many external and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience managing a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including municipalities and third-party utility providers.
