Lionsgate Canada’s IT Department is looking for a Sr. Systems Administrator – Remote Access to join the team. The Sr. Systems Engineer - Remote Access is a key member of the Infrastructure & Operations team, responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Citrix virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and related systems. This role requires hands-on expertise in a large enterprise setting, with proven ability to manage systems lifecycle and operational issues, while maintaining stability, performance, and security of the Citrix environment. A solid understanding of on-premises infrastructure and adaptability to cloud technologies are essential. Collaboration with other teams is crucial to ensure high availability and optimal end-user experience.

Responsibilities include:

Citrix Administration:

• Install, configure, support, and monitor Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), Citrix ADC (NetScaler), Citrix Workspace, and related products.
• Manage Citrix policies, profiles, and user access.
• Ensure performance, availability, and scalability of VDI and application delivery services.
• Perform health checks, capacity planning, and optimize performance.
• Maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures.
• Document configurations, changes, troubleshooting, and processes.
• Provide training and guidance on Citrix tools and best practices.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
• Stay updated on Citrix best practices and updates.

Server Administration:

• Perform routine maintenance, patching, backups, and performance monitoring.
• Manage server hardware and software inventories.
• Collaborate on infrastructure projects and upgrades.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

• Monitor system performance and analyze logs.
• Resolve issues or escalate as needed.
• Participate in on-call support.

Security:

• Implement security measures, access controls, and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with security policies.
• Stay informed on vulnerabilities and patches.

Documentation and Cloud Understanding:

• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Contribute to internal knowledge bases.
• Have a foundational understanding of cloud computing, especially Azure and AWS.
• Assist in evaluating cloud solutions for future needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in systems administration, with focus on Windows Server.
• 5+ years administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Experience with Citrix Cloud is a plus.
• Strong virtualization, Windows Server, networking, Active Directory, and scripting skills.
• Basic cloud platform knowledge (Azure/AWS).
• Experience with ITOM tools like SCOM, OpManager, ControlUp, and Goliath.
