Moneris Solutions Corp. in Toronto seeks a Systems Administrator III (Linux) to manage enterprise RHEL across on‑prem and cloud.

You will operate thousands of VMs on VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Azure IaaS, collaborating with SRE, Security, Cloud Ops, and other teams to scale automation with Ansible, Python, Bash, and GitHub. You will contribute to capacity planning, availability reporting, and documentation while supporting a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a similar enterprise role.
• Hands-on RHEL 7/8/9/10 on x86_64 at scale.
• Automation with Ansible, Bash, Python, GitHub.
• Experience with RedHat Satellite, Hybrid Cloud Console, in-place upgrades, and AD integration via SSSD/Kerberos.
• Virtualization with VMware vSphere and/or Nutanix AHV; Azure IaaS VMs.
• ServiceNow and ITIL processes for incidents/changes/problems.
• Solid IPv4, PKI, IAM, and least-privilege security knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage RHEL 7/8/9/10 across dev, test, prod, and critical environments.
• Handle requests, incidents, changes, and problems per ITIL/ServiceNow.
• Keep platforms current with patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Build reusable automation with Ansible, Bash, Python, and GitHub.
• Support hybrid infra across VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Azure IaaS.
• Contribute to capacity planning, availability, SLA monitoring, and reports.
• Create docs, build standards, diagrams, playbooks, and knowledge bases.
• Participate in rotational on-call for 24/7 ops.

Systems Administrator III (Linux)

Join the Systems Administration team to manage, modernize, and continuously improve enterprise Linux infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments at Moneris. You will operate a large‑scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7/8/9/10 estate spanning thousands of virtual machines across VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Working with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Information Security, Cloud Operations, Infrastructure Architecture, and Application teams, you will scale reusable automation in RedHat Ansible, Python, Bash, and GitHub, and mature service ownership through documentation, standards, and observability.

Location: Toronto office with remote flexibility.

Salary: $85,000 – $113,000 base; variable or discretionary incentive components may also apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7/8/9/10 across development, test, production, and mission‑critical environments.
• Operate service requests, incidents, changes, and problems through ServiceNow aligned to enterprise ITIL processes.
• Maintain platform currency via patching, in‑place upgrades, migrations, remediation, and standards‑based lifecycle management.
• Build reusable automation with RedHat Ansible, Bash, Python, and GitHub to scale consistent, secure operations.
• Support hybrid infrastructure across VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Microsoft Azure IaaS virtual machines.
• Contribute to capacity planning, availability planning, service reporting, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) monitoring.
• Mature service ownership by producing technical documentation, build standards, diagrams, automation playbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in a rotational on‑call schedule supporting 24/7 critical and production systems.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a similar role within a large, complex enterprise environment.
• Significant hands‑on experience with RHEL 7/8/9/10 on x86_64 at scale (thousands of virtual machines) across development, test, and mission‑critical production.
• Hands‑on automation with RedHat Ansible, Bash, Python, and GitHub.
• Experience with RedHat Satellite, RedHat Hybrid Cloud Console, in‑place RHEL upgrades, and Active Directory integration via SSSD and Kerberos keytabs.
• Virtualization experience with VMware vSphere and/or Nutanix AHV, plus Microsoft Azure IaaS virtual machines.
• Use of ServiceNow and enterprise ITIL processes for incidents, changes, problems, and requests.
• Solid understanding of IPv4 fundamentals, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), identity and access management, and least‑privilege security models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Payments industry or Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) experience, including familiarity with Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks and NIST guidelines.
• Experience with CyberArk Privileged Access Security (PAS/pCloud), CyberArk Conjur Secrets Management, and Venafi.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint / Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Azure Arc / Connected Machine Agent, OpenSCAP, and Fortra Tripwire.
• Exposure to container‑based infrastructure and DevOps pipelines, plus tools such as GlusterFS/FUSE, NFS, Postfix, CheckMK, and Dynatrace.
