Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced IT System Specialist to provide expert administration, technical leadership, and third-line support for enterprise messaging and email-security services in Mississauga. The role focuses on Exchange Server SE, Exchange Online, and Hybrid environments, with CES and cloud tools guiding secure, reliable mail flow.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on admin and support with Exchange Server and Exchange Online in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience administering Exchange Hybrid architecture.

• Experience with OAuth, federation services, organization relationships, certificates, hybrid mail flow, and coexistence.
• Experience managing mailboxes, distribution groups, DAGs, connectors, and mail-flow configurations.
• Experience with Cisco CES or similar enterprise email-security platforms.

Client Location: Mississauga ( Hybrid : 7 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Hybrid, requiring 7 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced IT System Specialist to provide expert administration, technical leadership, functional guidance, and third-level support for enterprise messaging and email-security services.

The successful consultant will bring strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE), Exchange Online (EXO), Exchange Hybrid environments, Cisco Cloud Email Security Appliance (CES), Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Microsoft Azure, and related cloud technologies.

This role will work collaboratively with cybersecurity, infrastructure, identity, application, and operational teams to maintain the security, reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise messaging services.

Scope

• Administer and support enterprise Exchange Server SE, Exchange Online, and Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Manage Exchange Hybrid architecture involving OAuth authentication, federation services, organization relationships, certificate management, hybrid mail flow, free/busy integration, mailbox migrations, and coexistence.
• Administer mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, Database Availability Groups (DAGs), connectors, mail flow, and hybrid configurations.
• Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Exchange Server SE, Exchange Online, and Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Maintain hybrid-services functionality including OAuth, federation services, organization relationships, certificates, hybrid mail flow, mailbox migrations, coexistence, and free/busy integration.
• Administer mailboxes, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, Database Availability Groups (DAGs), connectors, transport configurations, and related messaging services.
• Monitor and maintain messaging-system availability, performance, capacity, security, and operational health.

Must Have:

• Strong hands-on administration and technical support experience with Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Online (EXO) in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Exchange Hybrid architecture.
• Hands-on knowledge of Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE) or closely related enterprise Exchange Server environments.
• Experience with OAuth authentication, federation services, organization relationships, certificate management, hybrid mail flow, free/busy integration, mailbox migrations, and cloud/on-premises coexistence.
• Strong experience administering mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, DAGs, connectors, transport rules, and mail-flow configurations.
• Hands-on experience administering or supporting Cisco Cloud Email Security Appliance (CES) or comparable enterprise email-security platforms.

Nice to Have:

• Experience onboarding enterprise applications and services requiring SMTP relay or other messaging functionality.
• Experience working collaboratively with cybersecurity, infrastructure, identity/access management, cloud, and application teams.
