Job Title: Windows Systems & Network Administrator

Location: Remote (Quebec residency a plus, but not mandatory)

Travel: Occasional travel to U.S. and international client sites may be required.

Clearance: Must be eligible to travel internationally. Canadian citizenship required.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Windows Systems & Network Administrator to take command of our client’s infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments. This isn’t just another sysadmin gig — this role is the tip of the spear in our mission to maintain bulletproof uptime, airtight security, and seamless operations for our clients.

This is not a junior position. You need to be a hardcore Windows and Azure operator with a proven track record in modern endpoint management via Microsoft Intune. You'll partner closely with our Cloud Engineer — together, you'll be the go-to duo managing the full IT stack.

Mandatory Requirements:

Experience:

• 4-5+ years in a Windows Systems Admin role
• Proven hands-on experience managing Microsoft Intune in enterprise environments.
• Real-world Azure admin experience — not just labs.
• Deep Cisco switch/router configuration knowledge.

Technical Skills:

• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, VPN
• Hardware: Cisco Switches/Routers, Fortinet Firewalls
• Virtualization: VMware vSphere
• Scripting: PowerShell — expert level!

Key Responsibilities:

Windows & Virtual Infrastructure:

• Manage and optimize Windows Server environments (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP).
• Own and administer VMware vSphere infrastructure.
• Implement and monitor backup & disaster recovery strategies.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure resources (VMs, VNets, NSGs, VPN Gateways).
• Take full ownership of Microsoft Intune: device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, app packaging & deployment.

Network & Security Infrastructure:

• Configure and maintain Fortinet firewalls (NAT, VPN tunnels, security policies).
• Improve the security posture using FortiEDR, Microsoft Defender, and respond to incidents.

Ops & Support:

• Act as Tier 2/3 escalation for tough tech issues.
• Automate admin tasks using PowerShell.
• Document systems, SOPs, and network diagrams with precision.
• Collaborate on IT projects from planning through to execution.

Preferred (but not required):

• Certifications such as:
• Cisco CCNA or higher
• Fortinet NSE 4+
• Experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
