Responsibilities

Summary of Job Duties: The Senior PACS Administrator manages and supports the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and related imaging systems, collaborating with Medical Imaging leadership, Radiologists, Physicians, and IT to ensure compliance, system performance, and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Radiologic Sciences, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in IT, healthcare, or enterprise PACS management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, IT, or related field.
  • Five years of IT or clinical/operational experience.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead support for enterprise imaging systems, ensuring alignment with clinical, operational, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee daily PACS operations, including configuration, upgrades, user management, data integrity, and hardware maintenance, focusing on DICOM, HL7, network, and security.
  • Collaborate with IT, radiology leadership, vendors, and teams; lead implementations and resolve complex issues.
  • Define system requirements, develop policies, and optimize workflows.
  • Mentor staff, provide training, and support planning and coordination.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, ensure system availability, data security, and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
