Qualifications

SAIT’s Information Technology Services department handles all software and hardware needs, as well as technological and networking issues for both employees and students who rely heavily on computer systems across our campuses. Technical support — which includes help with computer hardware and software technical problems, email, audio-visual needs and more — is available to everyone at SAIT, whether the problem occurs at home or on-campus.

The Opportunity

The System Analyst - Student position resides in the Cloud and Server Infrastructure team within the Information Technology Services department at SAIT. The team is accountable for the operational support and management of SAIT’s Cloud&Server infrastructure and applications.


The Role
• Key responsibilities and major duties include the following:
System Administration
• Maintaining and developing scripts to support messaging systems
• Day-to-Day Cloud/Server Administration
• M365 Administration (Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive…etc)
• Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, VMware)
• Azure Active Directory Administration
• System/service monitoring
• Backup/restore system administration
• vCenter administration
• Break/fix
Miscellaneous
• Project resource
• Documentation
• Attend meetings
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Members of department committees (e.g. Health and Safety, Social, etc.)
Qualifications & Experience
• Must be a current SAIT student enrolled in and returning to SADT Information Technology Services or related program.
• A 2-year diploma in the field of information technology, programming, computer management, or related technical area is required.
• Academic Knowledge in System Administration, Information Technology Support, and Automation/Scripting is preferred.
