Job summary

Citi is hiring a Head of Application Development to lead enterprise CRM and financial platforms. You will architect and drive high-availability systems for global institutional clients, combining strong technical leadership with hands-on engineering excellence.

You will guide architecture, implement microservices with Java/Spring, and oversee releases with zero-downtime deployments while mentoring a 20+ person team. Hybrid work model offered with global scope.

Qualifications

10+ years building and managing enterprise CRM applications with high availability.
Proven leadership of engineering teams of 20+ professionals.
Expert level in Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Data, JPA, Maven/Gradle).
Hands-on with middleware like Kafka, TIBCO, Apache MQ over SSL.
Experience migrating monolithic apps to microservices in cloud or on-prem environments.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering/tech field.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and development of enterprise CRM and financial apps to ensure 24/5 availability.
Design and deliver microservices-based solutions using Java/Spring and RESTful architecture.
Own engineering roadmap for stability, quality, and functionality across production.
Automate release pipelines for zero-downtime deployments.
Serve as technical liaison between business, tech teams, and vendors.
Mentor and coach a cross-functional team of 20+ engineers.
Assess risks and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
