Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in Woodstock, ON is seeking a part-time Security Officer to oversee security across the casino, ensuring guest and employee safety and maintaining a calm, secure environment.

The role requires the ability to respond quickly, monitor alarms, and perform investigations while delivering excellent customer service. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is preferred, with First Aid/CPR certification and potential AGCO registration support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in a security role.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to obtain AGCO Category 2 Gaming Assistant registration.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Flexible hours, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and respond to guest inquiries quickly.
• Control access to the facility and sensitive areas.
• Monitor alarm panels and issue keys as needed.
• Write reports, maintain a daily log and conduct investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and be able to respond to guest inquiries quickly.

What You Bring

• Minimum 6 months experience in a security role.
• Proven, high level of customer service.
• Detail-orientated and organized nature.
• Solid analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
• Sensitive in dealing with people and proactive in providing solutions.
• Good judgment and understanding of casino operations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
• Have or ability to obtain Smart Serve certification prior to start date
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Capacity to physically restrain and secure individuals using prescribed techniques.
• Social perceptiveness and good vision to identify people.
