Job summary

GardaWorld in the Greater London Region, Ontario, seeks a Surveillance Security Guard to monitor surveillance systems, identify threats, and respond to incidents across client sites such as offices, retail, and industrial facilities.

This full-time role requires strong observation skills and a professional demeanor, with opportunity for advancement within GardaWorld. Location: Greater London Region, Ontario.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Valid security license.
• First aid certification is required.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and strong focus.
• Proficient with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or threats.
• Document events and write detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols for safety.
• Control access and check visitor IDs.
• Provide customer service to visitors and staff.
• Manage access control.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Perform computer tasks as needed.
• Address incidents and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Customer service duties such as welcoming, checking identification, and guiding visitors
• Manage access control
• Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
• Perform computer tasks
• Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
• Answer questions in person or by phone
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification is required
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
