Job summary

GardaWorld in Hamilton, Ontario is recruiting a Surveillance Security Guard. You will monitor security systems, identify suspicious activity, and document events with clear, detailed reports across shifts.

The role requires a valid security license and First Aid certification, plus the ability to stand and patrol. GardaWorld provides comprehensive training through GardaWorld Academy, flexible schedules, career growth opportunities, and a uniform provided at no cost. Location: L8P 4S8.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification - required.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identifications
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalated in environments such as security operation centres , call centres, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule: Sat-Sun 0000-1200 hours

Location: L8P 4S8
