Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel is seeking a plating technician to perform chrome, zinc-nickel and nickel plating operations using electrodeposition setups, anodes, cages, tanks, and chemical solutions.

You will control process conditions, prepare parts, apply plating parameters, measure with instruments, inspect parts, and participate in bath certifications. Evening shift available with benefits and training.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P) in surface treatment, aeronautical mechanical assembly, structural assembly, welding-assembly, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manual work or in the manufacturing field.
• Knowledge of reading plans is an asset.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Basic computer skills.
• Rigor and attention to detail.
• Initiative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Control the conditions of high mechanical strength parts at all stages of the process.
• Prepare and assemble parts with anodes and masks.
• Perform electrolytic deposits (cadmium plating, chrome plating, or nickel plating).
• Apply and control plating parameters on electronic interfaces.
• Use digital and analog measuring instruments.
• Participate in the certification of plating baths.
• Inspect parts.

Evening shift: Monday to Thursday from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM

• The salary for this position starts between $31.18 and $45.12 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring job-related skills, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $48.97.
