Job summary

Moeller Precision Tool, LLC. in Ayr, Ontario, is seeking a Surface Grinder / Wire EDM Operator to join its metalworking team. Set up and operate manual surface grinding equipment and Wire EDM machines to produce precision tool and die components.

You will read blueprints, hold tight tolerances, and inspect parts. The role offers weekday hours, overtime opportunities, and benefits in a climate-controlled, family-owned global manufacturer environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining, surface grinding, tool & die, or Wire EDM experience.
• Hands-on experience with manual surface grinding equipment and Wire EDM preferred.
• Experience with Mitsubishi, Makino, Fanuc, or similar Wire EDM equipment is a plus.
• Experience working with tool steel strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Experience maintaining tight tolerances on precision components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 45-50 hours/week, including regular overtime opportunities
