Orlick Industries in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking an EDM Operator to safely and accurately run EDM Sink equipment on days and afternoons rotating shifts. You will read prints, set up tooling, and verify dimensions with measuring tools.

A strong background in CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and Esprit is preferred, along with solid blueprint reading and English communication. The role emphasizes safety, attendance, and teamwork in a hands‑on manufacturing environment with a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Metal Cutting Trade Designation or equivalent experience with EDM Sinkers.
• 1 year of metal cutting trade experience.
• Must be able to perform CAD/CAM.
• CNC Machining experience is required.
• Experience with Esprit software an asset.
• Proven Blueprint reading skills.
• Provide accurate results from the use of measuring equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrate strong time management and job planning skills.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Read, write and clearly communicate in the English language.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and team building skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate EDM Sink equipment safely and accurately.
• Follow OH&S Ontario requirements and company safety rules.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality.
• Read and interpret prints and procedures.
• Determine the most efficient order of operations to complete tasks within time and dimensional requirements.
• Use measuring equipment to ensure size and finish requirements are met or exceeded.
• Read, interpret and follow instruction manuals and drawings.
• Safely utilize hand and power tools as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist other Tool Shop personnel as directed.
• Communicate and work effectively with other members of the Company.

Position Summary:

The EDM operator is responsible for the safe and accurate operation of EDM Sink Equipment. This position will have the opportunity for a Days and Afternoons rotating shift.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
