Job summary

Marwood International Inc. is seeking a Tool and Die Maker for our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility in the automotive Tier 1 sector. You will read engineering drawings, set up and maintain tool room equipment, and contribute to dying processes to ensure quality parts.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of related experience, a Grade 12 diploma, and a recognized Tool & Die license. The role offers competitive pay at $46.00 per hour plus shift premiums and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–5 years of tooling/Die experience in Tier I automotive manufacturing.
• Hold a recognized Tool & Die license.
• Grade 12 diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, component prints and assembly drawings.
• Set up, operate, adjust, repair and maintain tool room equipment.
• Machine and fabricate improvements to dies to support engineering changes.
• Troubleshoot to produce quality parts by assessing tooling.
• Design new tools to replace broken or worn tools.
• Provide dies and tooling support for Quality and Maintenance departments.

Shift: Rotating Mon - Thurs (6a - 4p & 4p - 2a, rotating days and afternoons)

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, component prints, assembly part/product drawing
• Perform calculations for tool and die procedures
• Set up, operate, adjust, repair and maintain tool room equipment
• General maintenance on dies, sharpening, polishing, replacing broken and worn parts
• Troubleshooting to produce quality parts by assessing new tooling and broken tooling
• Design new tools to replace broken/worn out tools through machining, heat treating, finish grinding and trial fitting
• Machine and fabricate improvements to dies to suit engineering changes to parts based on direction from the Engineering Department
• Machine and fabricate parts for other departments ex. quick check gauges for Quality, press parts for Maintenance
• All other relevant duties

Key Requirements:

• Grade 12 Diploma
• Recognized Tool & Die License
• 2 - 5 years' related experience in Tier I Automotive manufacturing
