Job summary

Creative Support in Grimsby (North East Lincolnshire) is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities in daily life, activities and social outings.

No previous experience is needed; we offer full and part-time hours, weekend work and comprehensive training including the opportunity to earn a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. Progression opportunities available across the service.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Good communication and empathy with area service users.
• Ability to work as part of a team to support adults with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• Encourage service users to participate in social activities at home and in the community.
• Develop warm, trusting relationships with service users and their families.
• Administrate and monitor prescribed medication as required.

Job description

We are looking for a Support Worker to join our friendly staff team in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. You will support adults with learning disabilities with their daily lives.

Every day is different here at our services in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. The people we support have varied social calendar of events alongside their day to day support needs.

Support Worker Duties:

• Providing excellent care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and non-verbal communication requirements.
• Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside their homes
• Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest
• Administrating and monitoring prescribed medication to service users.

We offer full and part time hours, weekend work and bank holidays. The service has great public transport links.
