We are looking for a Supply Chain Supervisor for our Oakville, Ontario site.

JOB SUMMARY:

This Senior Level position provides leadership and support of supply chain activities at our Precision Manufacturing (PMI) site, which manufactures specialized tooling and process plant systems in the nuclear industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide guidance/leadership to team regarding procurement activities:
   • Vendor selection;
   • Support resolution of technical exceptions during supplier quote phase;
   • Identify and develop new suppliers;
   • Participate in resource planning, recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding;
   • Support departmental KPI reporting;
   • Develop, review, and approve procurement work instructions and procedures;
   • Lead team training and best practice initiatives;
   • Assist with work assignment within the team;
   • Lead supplier-specific long-term and scheduling agreements;
   • Review and release high-value purchase orders;
   • Support and rollout team goals, track performance, and conduct performance reviews;
   • Attend leadership meetings, conduct team meetings, and approve timecards;
   • Ensure compliance with processes, industry standards, policies, and contractual requirements;
   • Identify and resolve project risks proactively.
2. Procurement of commodities & services:
   • Purchase assigned commodities and services;
   • Obtain and analyze vendor quotations for clarity and accuracy.
3. Source qualified suppliers:
   • Understand supplier core competencies;
   • Investigate new manufacturing applications and interface with vendor management;
   • Develop procurement strategies considering technical, market, commercial, scheduling, and quality factors.
4. Contract administration:
   • Manage purchasing contracts, revisions, warranties, and discrepancies;
   • Lead complex negotiations with multi-functional teams.
5. Corrective action:
   • Resolve supplier quality issues and claims.
6. Continuous improvement:
   • Collaborate with engineering, legal, manufacturing, and project management;
   • Lead improvement projects;
   • Mentor procurement team members.
7. Cost reduction:
   • Participate in value analysis and cost-saving initiatives;
   • Ensure compliance with external codes and internal standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in engineering or technology or minimum 5 years of related technical experience;
• At least 7 years in a procurement leadership role;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the nuclear field;
• Experience in engineering design or technical positions preferred;
• Knowledge of nuclear standards and codes (e.g., ASME, NQA-1, CSA, ISO 9001);
• Skills in reviewing technical documents and drawings;
• Understanding manufacturing principles;
• Strong negotiation, communication, and team leadership skills;
• Project management experience and product knowledge are preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The salary range for this position in Ontario is expected to be between $89,000 and $139,000 annually, based on experience and market factors. The total compensation may include bonuses and benefits.
