Job Description

Position overview: The Supply Chain Specialist plays a key role in supporting and driving core functions within the Operations team, including demand planning, trade compliance, distribution planning, and various supply chain initiatives.The role is responsible for developing accurate, item-level demand forecasts and distribution plans to ensure product availability and timely fulfillment of customer needs.The position also provides critical operational support such as maintaining item master data and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Specialist partners with cross-functional teams to develop forecast, optimize distribution and ensure compliance with trade regulations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.

Specific duties:

Demand Planning

  • Develop and maintain consensus demand forecast at SKU level, applying adjustments from internal and external sources when applicable
  • Manage demand forecast for more than 300+ SKUS, applying data-driven insights and adjustments as needed.
  • Utilize historical sales data and seasonal trends to identify demand patterns and apply advance statistical forecasting methods to develop accurate SKU-level forecast.
  • Incorporate AI-driven tools and analytics to enhance forecast accuracy, improve responsiveness to market changes.
  • Publish and maintain forecast metrics, driving continuous improvement through root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Buyer/Planner to adjust plans based on shifts in demand, ensuring customer service levels are maintained.

Distribution Planning

  • Create and execute distribution plans that support customer demand and service level goals across the network.
  • Use supply chain planning software to generate and continuously update distribution plans, ensuring timely replenishments and optimal inventory positioning.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators such as fill rate, on-time delivery and delivery lead time.
  • Leverage analytics and digital tools to identify inefficiencies, enhance visibility and optimize distribution strategies.

Trade Compliance

  • Support trade compliance audits, internal assessments, risk mitigation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Advisory Group to maintain up to date item master data, including tariff classifications, country of and FGA declarations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to required documentation such as FDA, TCSA and other blanket certificates.

Operations Support

  • Monitor and resolve routine operations issues, escalating complex matters as needed to ensure smooth supply chain execution.
  • Track and monitor key operational metrics and performance indicators.
  • Conduct periodic review of item master to ensure relevant information to ensure accuracy and completeness of critical product information.
  • Assist in MRP testing, process/workflow improvement within NetSuite.
  • Support the annual physical inventory process, including reconciliation and reporting activities.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post secondary certificate/degree in a related field (business, supply chain, logistics) or 3-4 years relevant experience in Demand Planning, Sales Forecasting
  • Strong understanding of MRP and supply chain fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of Excel specifically Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Experience and proficient with MS Office Products and ERP, preferably NetSuite and NetSuite Analytics.
  • Experience with report and data analysis tools
  • Good organization skills and ability to adapt to change.
  • Autonomous/independent thinker with the ability to lead and drive process improvements and demonstrate initiative.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with multiple simultaneous timebound deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level attention to details.
  • Ability to plan and organize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management, and a sense of urgency when needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to influence different levels of stakeholders

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience)
