Position:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations in our EU-GMP certified indoor cannabis cultivation and processing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and compliant procurement, production planning, inventory control, and logistics in accordance with Health Canada regulations, EU-GMP standards, and global export requirements.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationships for raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory quality standards.
  • Ensure supplier qualification and audit readiness per EU-GMP and GPP requirements.
  • Develop and execute production schedules aligned with sales forecasts and regulatory timelines.
  • Coordinate with cultivation, processing, QA/QC, and sales to ensure efficient product flow.
  • Plan materials and resources to avoid bottlenecks and minimize waste.
  • Oversee inventory management systems for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking using ERP/seed-to-sale software (e.g., Ample Organics, ERPNext, SAP).
  • Maintain full compliance with Cannabis Act, CRA, and EU-GMP traceability standards.
  • Manage domestic and international shipment logistics, including EU-compliant transportation and export documentation.
  • Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders for international distribution.
  • Ensure cold chain and security protocols are followed.
  • Maintain all supply chain documentation for EU-GMP audits, internal inspections, and Health Canada compliance.
  • Work closely with QA/QC to align supply chain operations with GACP, GMP, GPP, and EU regulations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, it is essential you have:

  • Supply chain experience in regulated industries, preferably cannabis, pharmaceuticals, or food manufacturing.
  • Proven experience with EU-GMP, GPP, or GMP-compliant environments.
  • Familiarity with Canadian Cannabis Regulations (Cannabis Act).
  • Experience with ERP or seed-to-sale tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with a high degree of attention to detail.

Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you also have:

  • A certification in Supply Chain (e.g., APICS, CSCP, SCMP).
  • Knowledge of global cannabis export markets.
  • Knowledge of another language.
