Job summary

Paradigm Inputs, based in Calgary, Alberta, seeks a senior Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to own the strategy and execution of the entire supply chain, from international suppliers to local brokers and growers across Western Canada.

You will book shipments, chase missing documents, and fix exceptions while leading freight, customs, and partner relationships as the company scales. This is a high-trust, hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or customs coordination.
• Track record of setting strategy and executing it yourself.
• Working knowledge of import and trade compliance for Canada.
• Proven ability to manage vendors and carriers under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own the supply chain strategy end-to-end — decide how freight, customs, and fulfillment should work as volumes grow and take accountability for results.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight across Western Canada yourself — book and track shipments, manage carrier relationships, and resolve delivery exceptions.
• Manage customs clearance and import documentation directly — handle bills of lading, execute customs clearance, PO-to-delivery tracking, and import compliance.
• Design and administer the operating model for key supply and partner-program relationships, including day-to-day coordination and reporting.
• Own the delivery experience — set proactive, accurate status communication to brokers and growers, and step in when shipments need attention.
• Lead new logistics initiatives — design warehousing and order-consolidation programs and help stand them up.
• Report to the COO on supply chain performance and strategy, owning outcomes of calls you make.

Paradigm Inputs is a crop-input marketplace built for Western Canadian farmers. We source certified premium generic (off-patent) crop-protection products directly from international manufacturers and distribute them through a network of independent, local agronomic brokers on our own software platform — including AgAssistant, our embedded agronomic-intelligence layer. About the role

As our Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, you'll own both the strategy and the execution of our entire supply chain — how crop-protection products move from international suppliers to brokers and growers across the prairies, and the day-to-day work of making sure they get there on time and without surprises. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll set the plan for freight, customs, and partner relationships as we scale, make the calls, and take direct accountability for how it plays out.

This is a high-trust, high-ownership role for someone senior enough to own the decisions and hands-on enough to execute them personally, including the administrative work that comes with it. You won't just design the process; you'll also be the one booking the shipment, chasing the missing document, and fixing the exception when it counts.

What you'll do

• Own the delivery experience — set the standard for proactive, accurate status communication to brokers and growers, and personally step in when a shipment needs attention.
• Lead new logistics initiatives — design new warehousing and order-consolidation programs, then roll up your sleeves to help stand them up.
• Report to the COO on supply chain performance and strategy, and own the outcomes of the calls you make.

What you bring

• 7+ years in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or customs/import coordination, including experience designing and owning a process rather than only executing one someone else built.
• A track record of setting strategy and executing it yourself — comfortable making the call and comfortable doing the manual work to see it through.
• Working knowledge of import and trade compliance — customs documentation and the requirements for moving regulated goods into Canada.
• A proven ability to manage vendors and carriers under deadline pressure, and to make sound judgment calls when a plan breaks down.
• Strong organizational rigour and systems fluency.
• Clear, calm, trust‑building communication — you keep partners informed and confident.

Nice to have

• Experience in agricultural inputs, crop protection, chemicals, or other regulated bulk goods.
• Familiarity with prairie trucking lanes and Western Canada ag logistics (especially rural deliveries).
• Experience importing regulated products into Canada (e.g., PMRA‑registered goods or similar).
• Experience acting as the supply chain subject matter expert for building software solutions.
• Experience building or improving a supply chain process from the ground up.
