Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge.
  • Lead Auditor ISO9001 desirable; Internal Auditor in Quality/Environmental Management essential.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems essential.
  • Ability to travel essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of Quality assessment and continuous improvement tools (Sampling, Pareto, FMEA, SPC).
  • Broad depth of knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience of Defence or regulated products desirable.
  • Proven record of conducting assessments and audits essential.
  • Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be eligible to meet export control regulations (Canadian CGP & security requirements).

Responsibilities

  • Visit supplier facilities and observe the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures and working practices.
  • Perform regular quality control audits and full capability assessments to ensure vendors comply with standards.
  • Provide clear reports on supplier capabilities and recommend actions.
  • Develop and maintain a supplier audit schedule based on risk methodology for a global supply base.
  • Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to management.
  • Provide input into supplier procurement specifications to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct configuration audits and First Article acceptance of supplied items.
  • Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality and defect rates.
  • Provide support to procurement to define supplier quality metrics.
  • Offer guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
  • Act as liaison between senior management and suppliers to address quality issues.
  • Generate and maintain a Company Supplier Quality handbook.
  • Generate a top-level supplier assessment program.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and test documentation.
  • Analyze and present data.
  • Generate audit reports and action plans.

Marshall Land Systems is seeking a Manager, Supplier Quality to join our team in Moncton, NB. Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, the Manager, Supplier Quality will be responsible for assessing supplier processes, procedures, and performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and business requirements. This role will evaluate supplier capabilities and capacity, while establishing and maintaining a robust Supplier Monitoring Program aligned with a business risk-based assessment approach.


The Manager, Supplier Quality will identify opportunities for improvement and develop supplier improvement plans to address performance gaps. This role will provide regular status updates to suppliers and internal stakeholders, track corrective actions, and ensure agreed-upon improvements are effectively implemented. Additionally, the Manager will monitor product quality from key strategic suppliers to ensure delivered products consistently meet required specifications, standards, and customer expectations.

Your responsibilities in this role:
  • Visit supplier facilities and observe the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures and working practices.
  • Perform regular quality control audits and full capability assessments to ensure vendors continue to work in compliance with their company and country specific standards.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on Supplier capabilities and communicate any recommended actions.
  • Develop and maintain a supplier Audit schedule based on risk methodology to cover a global supply base.
  • Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to management on any areas of concern.
  • Provide input into supplier procurement specifications to ensure project and business requirements are flowed down as appropriate to suppliers.
  • Conduct configuration audits and First Article acceptance of supplied items prior to release to ensure supplied goods meet the defined specification.
  • Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in defects.
  • Provide support to procurement to define the supplier quality metrics.
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
  • Serving as a liaison between our company's senior management and the suppliers to identify quality issues and come up with solutions.
  • Generate and maintain a Company Supplier Quality handbook to provide visibility to suppliers of the company requirements for doing business.
  • Generate a business top level supplier assessment program.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and test documentation.
  • Analyze and present data.
  • Generate audit reports and action plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Post secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge gained through other forms of education or training.
  • Lead Auditor trained in ISO9001 is desirable, Internal Auditor trained in Quality and Environmental Management standards is essential.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems is essential.
  • Ability to travel is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel and Visio are essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of Quality assessment and continuous improvement tools is essential.Understanding and experience of preventative techniques such as Sampling, Pareto, FMEA, SPC etc. is essential.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
