Job summary

GEODIS Canada is seeking a Training Supervisor to design and implement training plans for warehouse operations. You will monitor weekly training activities, develop metrics to measure effectiveness, and adjust content to meet objectives.

The role also includes supervising employees, from interviewing and hiring to performance appraisal and discipline, and compiling management reports with actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant training experience in warehouse operations.
• Experience training on warehouse equipment (electric pallet jacks, reach truck forklift, sit-down forklift, order picker).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Your role on the team:

Develops training plans and processes to be implemented by Training Coordinators

• Monitors training activities to ensure all weekly scheduled training is conducted
• Develops metrics to evaluate training effectiveness; modifies training content or delivery method to meet training objectives
• Develops new training programs when needed, such as related to Value Added Services
• Compiles report to management of training statistics with recommendations for successful training activities
• Supervises employees including: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

What you need: (requirements)

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
• Minimum 2 years of relevant training experience in warehouse; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience conducting training on warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks, reach truck forklift, sit down forklift and order picker
• Knowledge of safety compliance for operating equipment
• PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Ability to conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of the organization
• Ability to develop, write and proof training materials
